Free and Safe Disposal of Unused and Expired Drugs
Our New Program
Newport Prescription Center is pleased to announce a new drug take back program to help our patients safely dispose of medicines that may be dangerous to people and the environment. Patients of any pharmacy can now safely dispose of unused and expired medications at our store - free of charge.
What You Can Do
Simply bring unwanted drugs (from any pharmacy) to Newport Prescription Center in their original stock containers. We will work to dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way.
Why Safe Disposal Is Important
Medicines thrown in the garbage can be picked up by children, pets, sanitation employees or anyone who rummages through trash. Medicines flushed down the drain or toilet add pharmaceutical pollution to our waters.
